LaLaport BBCC’s Doko Koko café is back with another themed dining experience! This time, it’s an event celebrating the six main volleyball teams from Haikyuu!!: Karasuno, Aoba Johsai, Nekoma, Shiratorizawa Gakuen, Fukurodani Gakuen, and Inarizaki.
We had the opportunity to visit Doko Koko for a preview event on September 18, where we tried out the Kuroo + Kenma Unagi Don, Oikawa + Iwaizumi Margherita, Tsukishima + Yamaguchi Orange Oolong Tea, Kuroo + Kenma Strawberry Lemon Tea, and Haikyuu!! Mousse Orange Cheese Cake. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions given, as well as the cute character cut-outs that each dish came adorned with.

The menu offerings include mains for RM38 each, beverages for RM16 each, and a variety of desserts and snacks ranging from RM33 to RM38, all inspired by characters and teams from the series. At the end of your visit, you’ll also be able to collect a random character coaster for every Haikyuu!! dish ordered.
The café itself is also beautifully decorated with character cutouts and posters, including a pillar where you can measure your height – or even test how high you can jump! Attached to the dining area is a merchandise store stocked with caps, bags, pins and more, with a second batch of even more merchandise on the way.

Haikyuu!! is an anime and manga series originally created by Haruichi Furudate, which follows Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a famous volleyball player despite his small frame. Together with the Karasuno High School volleyball team, he overcomes various challenges to achieve his goal of reaching the top of the national volleyball league.
The manga would go on to sell over 60 million volumes worldwide, inspiring an equally popular anime series, with its influence even extending to the 2024 Paris Olympics. While the anime series concluded in 2020, it made a comeback in 2024 with the release of Haikyuu: The Dumpster Battle, a movie adaptation of one of the most popular story arcs from the manga series.
The Doko Koko Haikyuu!! collaboration cafe will run from now until October 2025. For more information, check out Doko Koko’s official social media channels.
