Good news for Dan Da Dan fans – season 3 of the anime is officially in production at Science Saru. The news was announced via the series’ official website and social media accounts following the release of Episode 24, which concludes the series’ second season.
Based on a manga of the same name by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dan Da Dan follows Momo Ayase, a high school girl who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and her new friend Ken Takakura, who believes in aliens but not ghosts. It was adapted into an anime series by Science Saru that began airing in October 2024, followed by a second season in July 2025.
Despite being a relatively recent title, Dan Da Dan is well on its way to becoming a modern classic with over 10 million manga volumes sold, making it the third best-selling manga series of 2025. Its anime adaptation has inspired pop-up stores and even a global movie screening of selected episodes.
