Blue Lock Season 3, Live-Action Film Announced

Blue Lock is set to receive a live-action film adaptation from Credeus, the studio behind the Kingdom and Golden Kamuy live-action films. The film will be released nationwide in Japan sometime in 2026, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup. 

The news was revealed during the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” fan event, which took place in Tokyo over the past weekend. It was also revealed that a third season of the Blue Lock anime is currently in production, which will adapt the Neo Egoist League arc of the manga.

The Blue Lock anime and manga series follows Yoichi Isagi, a high school football player who  is recruited to a controversial program established by the Japan Football Union. In an attempt to find Japan’s best striker, the program has gathered 300 promising high school players in a prison-like facility named Blue Lock, where they must train and compete to become the world’s greatest striker.
