PP Invasion, an indie game project created by Alex E. Valdez, was officially crowned as the People’s Choice Award winner at the Philippine Game Dev Expo (PGDX)’s Indie Game Stars showcase. Garnering the highest number of public votes during the 3-day event, the game earned a grand prize of ₱100,000.
PP Invasion rose to the top after three days of exhibit engagement, community buzz, and active gameplay testing alongside a strong lineup of fellow indie titles. Its creator Valdez is a member of the Baguio-based indie game dev collective Team Good Knight, and is also currently working on a number of other personal and team-based projects with the group.

Indie Game Stars is PGDX’s flagship platform dedicated to up-and-coming Filipino indie game developers, providing a stage to exhibit original games, connect with fans, and gain exposure to publishers, investors, and collaborators. The showcase aims to spotlight the raw creativity and innovation at the heart of the Filipino game dev community.
This year’s Indie Game Stars was sponsored by the Sui Foundation, with program support from the Game Developers Association of the Philippines, and SMART. Together, they helped raise the platform’s impact and reach, enabling even more developers to showcase their passion projects on the big stage.
