Indie publisher Soft Source is headed to Gamescom 2025, taking titles like DreadOut 3, Bloodbreaker: Labyrinth of the Witch, As I Began to Dream, Grim Trials, and more to Cologne, Germany. Fans interested in trying out any of these titles can visit Soft Source’s booth at Hall 10-2, Stand F004g.
Here’s a look at what they’ll have in store:
DreadOut 3
The Dread returns in DreadOut 3, the threequel to the cult-classic Indonesian horror series that started in 2014. Making its first-ever public demo at Gamescom, this chilling tale invites players to walk the thin line between the living and the dead. Armed with your IrisPhone, you’ll uncover the restless spirits and demons lurking just out of sight.
Bloodbreaker: Labyrinth of the Witch
Dedicated to players that miss the look and feel of old-school Metroidvanias, Bloodbreaker: Labyrinth of the Witch drags you into the depths of the Labyrinth, a dark, sprawling maze, on a journey to save your brother. Players can try out an updated demo with new mechanics and new locations, allowing them to delve deeper than ever into the Labyrinth.
As I Began to Dream
As I Began to Dream is a hand-drawn puzzle platformer about a little girl’s journey through grief and loss. Inspired by the style of children’s storybooks, players will follow Lily through a mysterious dream world, as she slowly pieces together her past.
Grim Trials
Grim Trials is a heavy metal action roguelike set in the Afterlife! Desperate to reunite with her still-living loved one, Avelin takes on the trial to become a fully-fledged Reaper. Take on hex-grid arenas, craft and customize your equipment, and face whatever the Afterlife throws your way.
Aside from the above titles, Soft Source will also showcase titles such as Kejora, Midnight Dreams, Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree, Mighty Knight Legacy and Wolley’s Dungeon Adventure. For more information, visit softsourcepublishing.com.
