Indie developer Cotton Game has rolled out a major free content update for their narrative puzzle game Sunset Hills, now available on Steam. This update includes enhancements inspired by community feedback, free bonus content, and marks the beginning of broader expansion plans, including an upcoming mobile release and new story content.
What’s New
The latest Sunset Hills update adds:
- Expanded Chapter 1 Ending: The first chapter’s conclusion has been reworked to offer a more satisfying and emotional payoff, directly shaped by player feedback.
- Free Digital Bonus Content:
- Wallpaper Pack: A collection of high-resolution in-game artwork is now available for free as downloadable content.
- Original Soundtrack: The game’s ambient music can now be downloaded for free to enjoy outside the game.
- Gameplay Tweaks & Bug Fixes: Various improvements have been made to enhance performance and stability.
Mobile and Beyond
Sunset Hills is set to release soon on mobile platforms. Players can now pre-register on Google Play or pre-order via the App Store.
Cotton Game also shared their future development roadmap, which includes:
- Localization Upgrades: Improved translations for English and Japanese, with Spanish support on the way.
- Console Ports: Plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch and other gaming platforms.
- New Content: A significant free update featuring a brand-new chapter, Wickle City, is scheduled to drop in late 2025. Updates on its development will be shared through regular dev logs.
