‘Scarred’ Is A Horror Puzzle Game Inspired By Nostalgic Singaporean Architecture

Singapore-based KOEX Studio have announced the official release of Scarred, a first-person horror puzzle game. Published by The Iterative Collective, the game is now available for PC on Steam at a base price of $7.99 USD, with a 10% launch discount for a limited time.

Scarred immerses players in a nightmarish realm inspired by nostalgic Singaporean architecture. Players must uncover the truth about a missing schoolmate while navigating eerie environments and solving intricate puzzles. The game blends psychological horror with rich storytelling, challenging players to confront their fears and unravel dark mysteries.

“We’re excited to finally share Scarred with the gaming community,” said Matthew Quek, CEO of The Iterative Collective. “KOEX Studio has crafted a hauntingly beautiful experience that pays homage to Singapore’s unique landscapes while delivering a universally compelling horror narrative.”

Choo Bin Yong, the solo developer behind KOEX Studio, brings his expertise from previous titles like Noosphere and Seduction. In Scarred, he utilizes Unreal Engine and motion capture technology to create lifelike character animations and immersive environments. The game also features voice acting by local Singaporean talent, adding authenticity to its setting.
