Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite Skin Is Creating Some Surprisingly Wholesome Chaos

Fortnite’s Season 8 update dropped on April 8, and along with it came the reveal of its headline act – global popstar Sabrina Carpenter. By unlocking the Season 8 Music Pass, fans will gain access to new Jam Tracks of Sabrina’s songs, new Dance Emotes, and, most importantly, a skin based on Sabrina herself.

Dance Emotes are an update to Fortnite’s existing Emote system, with most existing Emotes that include dancing now being classified as a Dance Emote in the Locker. When you use a Dance Emote, you can choose to let another player do the same dance with you, even if they don’t own the Emote itself. The new Pass includes two Dance Emotes based on Sabrina’s songs “Taste” and “Please Please Please”.

Naturally, players have run wild with the new update, with fans refusing to shoot their fellow Sabrinas, and using the new Dance Emote feature to turn the game into a massive Short’ n Sweet dance party instead.

Of course, characters other than Sabrina are more than welcome to join in on the fun:

Not everyone’s a fan – some have questioned if groups of people stopping the game just to dance technically counts as “teaming”, which is against the game’s rules, while others have simply found the hordes of roaming Sabrinas annoying. But for most people, it’s just “a special way to still be a part of Short n’ Sweet world”, as Sabrina herself told Rolling Stone.

If you want to join in on the fun, you can purchase the new Season 8 Music Pass for 2,800 V-Bucks; or if you’re only after the skin, it’s available as a separate purchase for 1,500 V-Bucks.
