Netflix’s Devil May Cry Anime Series Gets A 2nd Season

Netflix’s Devil May Cry anime series will officially be getting a Season 2, with Netflix releasing a stylish new poster to celebrate the occasion. The announcement comes just one week after the series premiered worldwide on April 3, though no release date has been confirmed just yet.

According to Netflix, the Devil May Cry anime has been a decent success, earning over 5.3 million views in its first four days alone. The series currently sits at fourth place for the platform’s most-watched shows of the month, behind only Adolescence at 17.8 million views, Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer at 13 million views, and Pulse at 6.5 million views.

The series is a loose adaptation of Capcom’s popular Devil May Cry videogame franchise, led by Adi Shankar of Netflix’s Castlevania and Captain Laserhawk fame, and starring Johnny Yong Bosch as series protagonist Nero.
