Asia Pacific University to Host “Progress Day” Celebrating Creative Arts and Innovation

Asia Pacific University (APU) is hosting “Progress Day,” a vibrant three-day celebration of creativity and innovation, from April 24th to 26th, 2025. Organized by the K·Rediscovery Club and the School of Media, Art, and Design (SOMAD), this event marks the commencement of SOMAD’s 10th-anniversary celebrations and builds upon the legacy of the former MADFest, aligning with World Anime Day (April 15th).

“Progress Day” is inspired by SOMAD’s decade-long commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration. The event’s name also draws inspiration from the “Arcane” series, where the city of Piltover celebrates “Progress Day” to honor groundbreaking innovations. Just as Piltover showcases its advancements, APU’s “Progress Day” will serve as a platform to highlight the talents and innovations of its community.

The event will feature a steampunk-inspired theme, symbolizing the fusion of creativity, technology, and artistry. Organizers aim to showcase SOMAD’s journey and achievements, promote art, creativity, and innovation among APU students, and inspire passion and enthusiasm through engaging activities.
