It’s been a full decade, but the wait is over! THPS 3 + 4 is getting new maps, kicking-off with the legendary Waterpark.
Yo skaters, get ready to shred your boards! The next-gen Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 3 + 4 is dropping remasters of all the classic parks, plus fresh spots like Waterpark, which you might’ve seen in the reveal trailer. If you haven’t, watch this trailer below:
This desert-themed park’s seen better days, with rusty slides, tagged walls, and an empty lazy river, creating a killer skate playground. Ditch the crowds and grind those massive slides – Down the Drain, Peak Cyclone, Twisted Vipers – or hit a heelflip over the fountain. After a decade, new maps are finally coming to THPS 3 + 4, and Waterpark’s bringing the summer vibes just in time for the 11th July launch. Here’s the lowdown on how to rip this place up:
Bird’s Eye View – It’s A Splash Zone!
This map’s a sprawling beast, with multi-level madness and slick surfaces everywhere. You’ve got open areas for big air, and tight corners for tech lines. Let’s explore the map in the bird’s eye view:
Marquee

Right under the massive Peak Cyclone slide, you’ll find a tight ramp setup, perfect for stringing together combos. The central section lines you up for some solid grind lines. This area’s all about quick transitions and back-to-back tricks, making it a combo fiend’s dream. Nearby, the Cold Rush entrance is by the arcade, while the Peak Cyclone and Twisted Vipers slides flank a skateable pool and a round play structure with a grindable lid.
Lazy River & Fountain – The Slide Show

The empty riverbed cuts through the park, acting like a massive vert ramp that hits every zone. Walkways and water features bridge the two sides, making for quick transfers between the courtyard and outer areas. Railings and ramp ledges along the river are prime for grinds. In the courtyard, launch over the fountain and manual the walkway between grinds. For vert action, hit the ramps at the castle towers, the best spots for some air in this grind-heavy level.
Playground

Hit up the short, covered slides in the middle, and shred the wooden ship in Pirate’s Bay. In Tour mode, you’ll need to drain the water to access the ship; to get on deck, grind the low wooden rail into a wallride and drop down. The Down the Drain slide curves over the playground, with a bowl that drops into a slide leading back to the lazy river. Keep an eye on your balance when grinding down the top of the slide into the drain.
Main Gate
The main gate runs alongside a lengthy grindable platform, where the park’s old welcome sign stands. The smoothest grind is on its high backside; pop a boneless to reach the ledge. You’ll find more grind spots on the rails attached to an archway at the bridge’s foot, leading to the inner courtyard and fountain
Castle Grind

Two railed platforms under the castle slide are perfect for manual connections, and the rails are just long enough for a kickflip or other jump trick to boost your combo. Both sides end in ramps, giving you air for another trick on your way out. Once you grab those arcade keys, the castle slide entrances open up. Skate through and drop down from the top for a massive ride.
The Rides

The six rides lining the park’s edge are a magnet for skaters chasing those insane trick lines. Getting down in one piece takes practice, but the payoff is huge. Every slide throws a unique challenge your way, with massive potential for some truly gnarly tricks on the descent.
Waterpark Pro Tips: Shred It Right!
- Ride The Slides!
Don’t sleep on the park rides! Hit those ground-level entries to teleport up top and bomb down. Some slides are gnarly, but mastering them is key for sick combos. Grab those arcade keys to unlock the castle slide for maximum air!
- Flow The Lazy River
The drained river’s your playground! Heelflips, manuals, air transfers on the sides, grind those ledges—it’s a trick paradise. Follow its path, it connects all the key zones.
- Explore The Edges:
Don’t neglect the map’s outer edges! Look for ledges and platforms to jump up or drop down from the rides. Those thin pathways hide vital Tour pickups, so explore!
- Acid Drop The Arches:
Those archways by the castle slide’s grind rails have ramps on their columns. Acid drop up and over for a killer transition, way better than just rolling through!
- Tweak Your Stats:
Don’t forget, you can customize your stats! Crank up air and hangtime for vert tricks in the river, or boost rail and manual balance for epic grinds. Experiment, and keep grabbing stat points in Tour mode to level up your skater!
The Bottom Line – Shred The Gnar!
The Waterpark in Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 3 + 4 is a blast from the past, and it’s still a killer level. Whether you’re a seasoned THPS vet or a new recruit, you’ll find plenty of spots to shred. So, grab your board, and get ready to get soaked!
