The game will also incorporate iconic scenes and dialogue from the Haikyuu anime series.

The Haikyuu franchise began life as a serialised manga by Haruichi Furudate, which was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga currently stands at a total of 45 volumes, published over the course of 8 and a half years, that have sold over 60 million copies worldwide.
The manga was adapted into an anime series which aired from 2014 to 2020, where it soon became one of the most popular sports anime series of all time, with the anime’s theme song even being played during the 2024 Paris Olympics. The anime made a comeback in 2024 with the release of Haikyuu: The Dumpster Battle, a movie adaptation of one of the most popular story arcs from the manga series.
