A couple of weeks ago, the VSPO! (Virtual eSports Project) YouTube channel released the cute and fluffy anime music video for original song “Sweet Surprise.”
The music video features Tosaki Mimi, Shiranami Ramune, Kokage Tsumugi, and Sendo Yuuhi in frilly dresses as they travel across a surreal world of sweets and pastry. Many of the scenes are framed by patterned borders, making it feel as if you are glimpsing inside a picture. The animation’s colors are bright and welcoming, the character designs cute and extra eye-catching thanks to the minimal use of shadows, and the displays of character animation endearing.
“Sweet Surprise” was directed by the animator Moaang (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform Episode 7 storyboard artist and director, Blue Archive the Animation ending storyboard artist) at ZEXCS. Among the other names in the staff credits are:

VSPO! previously released the anime music video for “Queens,” which stars Kisaragi Ren, Kaminari Qpi, Yakumo Beni, and Nekota Tsuna. The “Queens” and “Sweet Surprise” videos, as well as others, were originally shown to fans who attended the Japanese VTuber agency’s 2024 countdown event on December 31 JST.
