Tears of Themis has announced its latest event, Ballad of the Dunes, created in partnership with the Department of Culture & Tourism in Gansu Province, China. Players can collect limited MR cards and earn event-exclusive Namecards inspired by the rich and ancient Dunhuang culture by completing in-game tasks and redeeming an official code.
The Ballad of the Dunes event presents exclusive new MR cards for the four male leads, drawing inspiration from the Silk Road’s rich cultural heritage. The Silk Road, established during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), served as a vital conduit for trade and cultural exchange between East and West. Nestled along this historic route, Gansu Province, China, remains a guardian of its rich cultural and artistic heritage.
One of the most notable cultural artefacts from Gansu Province are the Dunhuang Murals, a series of ancient cave paintings depicting mythical beings known as apsaras, who are skilled in music and dance. The newly released cards — Luke “In the Footsteps of Silk,” Artem “Serenade of the Soul,” Vyn “Reverberation Through Time,” and Marius “Void of Creation” — feature iconic imagery from the Silk Road and Dunhuang culture, as well as some immersive new Private Messages.
From February 13 to February 20, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by completing in-game tasks. Camel Bells can be used to flip cells and unlock various rewards, including the Ballad of the Dunes MR cards. In each of the four rounds of the cell-flipping game, players can select one MR card as their final reward. Additionally, after flipping 100 cells, players will receive the exclusive Celebration – Dunes event Namecard.

Players will also be able to enjoy some special freebies, including 100x Camel Bells sent via in-game mail. They can also redeem the exclusive Travel – Ballad Namecard by using the redemption code TravelBallad.
