This 24th to 26th January, Global Game Jam returns to Malaysia with a record-breaking five jam sites located at Xsolla KL, Xsolla Curine Academy KL, ASWARA KL, UPSI Tanjung Malim, and DeskSpace Bintulu.
Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game creation event taking place around the globe boasting tens of thousands of participants (jammers) at hundreds of physical and virtual sites in over one hundred countries around the world.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game jam format, participants gather on Friday evening to watch a short video keynote with advice from leading game developers, then a secret theme is announced. All jammers worldwide are then challenged to make games based on the same theme, with the games to be completed by Sunday. Tabletop game designers are also welcome!
During last year’s event, over 35,000 people at 796 locations in 102 countries created 9.964 games in 48 hours around the theme of “Make Me Laugh!”

How To Join
Register now on the Official Google Form, and make sure to register again for your specific Jam Site on the Global Game Jam website (links in the Google Form). Once you register, join the GamesHQ Discord channel for further updates.
