Horror Game ‘FAITH: The Unholy Trinity’ Movie Adaptation In The Works

Airdorf Games’ FAITH: The Unholy Trinity is being adapted into a movie trilogy. Set in the 1980s, this pixel art horror game follows John, a young priest struggling against demons, insane cultists, and your own weakening faith.

His story unfolds across three chapters, with the first two chapters self-published by Airdorf Games in October 2017 and February 2019, and all three chapters released in October 2017 under publisher New Blood Interactive with the new name FAITH: The Unholy Trinity.

The games draw inspiration from the infamous “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s, an era marked by widespread paranoia about Satanic influence in media, music, and tabletop games.

The movie adaptation will be led by Brandon Salisbury, the writer and director of the highly anticipated documentary, ‘George A. Romero’s Resident Evil’. Joining the team is executive producer Steve Barton (Terrifier 2), George Demick (Knightriders, Asylum of Terror), and the original creators of FAITH.

“The game is an example of horror through minimalistic locations and characters… a disturbing journey that the player has to endure to its end. For the film, we want to preserve that same feeling you get when you play FAITH for the first time. We are treating the material with the respect that fans expect and deserve,” says Salisbury.

The screenplay will be written by Emmy award-winning screenwriter John Esposito (Graveyard Shift, The Walking Dead webisodes, Shudder’s Creepshow), filmmaker and cinematographer Tom Robenolt (Whistle to the Maples, George A. Romero’s Resident Evil), Carson Demick (All of It Ends, George A. Romero’s Resident Evil) and Chris MacGibbon (Blood Was Everywhere).

J.J. Trulock, creator of the popular YouTube channel Residence of Evil which is dedicated to Resident Evil and survival horror gaming content, will also be joining the team as a producer.
