Hatsune Miku Announces Collaboration With Gundam Metaverse Project

Following the announcement of Bandai Namco’s Gundam Metaverse Project in February 2022, the project will be hosting its third limited-time experience scheduled for early December 2024 — featuring none other than Hatsune Miku.

Announced earlier this week on official Gundam and Hatsune Miku accounts, the Vocaloid will be hosting a live concert performance within the Gundam Metaverse service from December 5th to December 9th. Hatsune Miku will appear in an outfit inspired by uniforms from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Unfortunately, the concert will be limited to users in Japan and the United States, and registration is currently open on the Gundam Metaverse Project website. It hasn’t been released whether fans from other parts of the world will be able to tune in.

The Gundam Metaverse Project is a fusion between physical and digital services, integrating various categories of the Gundam IP including toys, anime, music, and games. Bandai Namco has invested 15 billion yen (approximately US$130 million) into the project, with the full launch of a large-scale Metaverse by 2025.
