CAPCOM has revealed more information about the unique characters and original game systems available in the upcoming Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam on 6th September 2024!
The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection features two games in one, starring ace prosecutor Miles Edgeworth making his triumphant return! In the game, players get to step into Edgeworth’s shoes, thoroughly investigating crime scenes and collecting information and evidence to uncover the truth behind the cases.
The game will feature a mixture of familiar characters from the Ace Attorney franchise, such as Franziska von Karma and Ema Skye, as well as new character Eustace Winner, who will be making his debut in the Ace Attorney Investigations series.
Eustace Winner is a rookie district prosecutor who likes to call himself “The Winner”. In the game, Eustace has been assigned to take over all of Edgeworth’s cases. He is obsessed with being the best in all things, and tries to be the first to solve his cases before anyone has a chance to say or do otherwise.
Here’s a closer look at some of the gameplay mechanics that will be introduced in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection:
Little Thief (Crime Scene Re-Creation)
At times, circumstances might make it difficult to directly investigate certain aspects of an incident. That’s when Kay’s handy simulation device “Little Thief” comes into play.
By inputting what they know into Little Thief, the gadget is able to re-create the scene as it was at the time of the crime. Interact with the re-creation to continue the investigation and gather new information!
“Mind Chess” Gameplay Mechanic
Convince stubborn opponents to open up through a game of mental chess! In the course of an investigation, you’ll come across people who will refuse to cooperate. Play the best moves you can in a race against the clock to extract the info you need.
Mind Chess requires that you think fast and make decisive plays in real time as you probe your opponent for answers. Keep an eye on your opponent’s words and expressions as you question them. Any subtle shift could spell something big for you and the case.
