JFF+ Announces Free Global Streaming Platform For Japanese Films

Japanese Film Festival has revealed a new streaming platform arriving on August 1st, 2024. Announced on their official Twitter account, the streaming platform is called “JFF Theater” and will be released in conjunction with their new website revamp.

The platform will feature Japanese films and videos with multilingual subtitles for free, anywhere in the world. This announcement follows this year’s edition of Japanese Film Festival Online, a free online event streaming 23 Japanese films and 2 TV dramas from June 5th to July 3rd.

Japanese Film Festival Online is organised by The Japan Foundation, an institution dedicated to introducing Japanese culture, art, and language to the world through comprehensive international cultural exchange programs.

Excited fans can subscribe to the platform’s newsletter to get early notifications of the official streaming line-up.
