Starlight Fantasy returned for its third year at Cheras North International Convention Centre (CNICC) from the 23rd to the 24th of March. Organised by Radiance Work, Starlight Fantasy has always been a celebration of cosplayers with a major highlight on Malaysian cosplayers and special appearances from international guests.
For two days, Malaysian cosplay fans flocked to Cheras to support their favourite idols and meet new cosplayers from the scene. With an incredible number of 60 cosplayer booths to check out, attendees were spoilt for choice the entire weekend. The event also featured a star-studded line up of international cosplayers including DJ Haru and Viku from Singapore, Momo from Taiwan, Ginsum from Hong Kong, and more.
Besides the abundance of cosplay content, Starlight Fantasy also hosted several arts and crafts booths and anime merchandise booths. One of the vendors that caught our eye was Moriko JK, an affordable Japanese school uniform store by Jia Ying Lee. For budding cosplayers, this would be a great place to pick up new accessories for your next cosplay.
The stage also kept the atmosphere lively throughout the event, featuring appearances from cosplay guests at the event. One of the most interesting activities happened on Day 2, a massive Rem (Re:Zero) cosplay group photo on stage!
At our own booth, we had a great time meeting friends and fans of THE MAGIC RAIN over the weekend. Special shout-out to Lizzy, Fumiko Kriss, Aira Yuki, Butterfly, and Inna for livening up our booth across the two days!
Congratulations to the Starlight Fantasy organisers for another successful event, and we hope to see more cosplay content from Radiance Work in the future!
