Where You’ve Seen The English & Japanese Voice Actors of ‘Persona 3 Reload’ Before

Persona 3 Reload, the highly anticipated remake of Persona 3 that was published in 2006, has taken the gaming world by storm. Whether players grew up with the genre-defining RPG, or they’re experiencing the Dark Hour for the first time, Atlus has gained a legion of fans who are absolutely in love with the remake.

One thing you can’t miss is its excellent voice acting, which features an entirely new English voice cast and mostly returning Japanese actors. We’re here to breakdown the list of main character voice actors — and why some of them might sound a little familiar!


Makoto Yuki voiced by Akira Ishida & Aleks Le

Akira Ishida originated the role of Makoto Yuki back in 2006, and he returns for a repeat performance in Persona 3 Reload. Outside of Persona, he also voices Gaara in Naruto, Kotaro Katsura in Gintama, and Athrun Zala in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.

Aleks Le voices Makoto Yuki in the English dub, but did you know he also voices Pharos and Ryoji Mochizuki? Although you might already know him from voicing Zenitsu Agatsuma in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Eiji Mitamura in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Jinwoo Sung in Solo Leveling.

Yukari Takeba voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi & Heather Gonzalez

The original voice of Yukari Takeba also returns to voice the character in Persona 3 Reload. Megumi Toyoguchi is most known for voicing Elena in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Mimiru in .//hackSIGN, and she also joined her Persona 3 co-star in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed as Miriallia Haww.

Besides voicing Yukari in Persona 3 Reload, Heather Gonzalez most recently voiced Mineru in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. She also plays Cocolia Rand in Honkai: Star Rail and Minoto in Monster Hunter: Rise.

Junpei Iori voiced by Kosuke Toriumi & Zeno Robinson

Kosuke Toriumi returns to voice Junpei Iori once again. He is known for voicing Kiba Inuzuka in Naturo, Masato Arakawa in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and also has a voice role in another Persona game — Eikichi Mishina in Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

Meanwhile, you may be most familiar with Zeno Robinson’s voice work as Zane in Granblue Fantasy, Toki in Fist of the North Star, and most adorably, Fuecoco in the recent Pokemon Horizons: The Series.

Akihiko Sanada voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa & Alejandro Saab

The ever popular Akihiko Sanada is played by original voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa. He most recently voiced Best Jeanist in Boku no Hero Academia, Gridman in Gridman Universe, and Tenshinhan in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.

Alejandro Saab steps into the shoes of Akihiko Sanada. He also voices Cyno in Genshin Impact, Jing Yuan in Honkai: Star Rail, and Seofon in Granblue Fantasy. You may also know him on Twitch as CyYuVtuber.

Mitsuru Kirijo voiced by Rie Tanaka & Allegra Clark

Rie Tanaka returns to voice everyone’s favourite waifu, Mitsuru Kirijo. She also voices Rosetta in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail, and Lacus Clyne in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.

Mitsuru’s English voice may sound familiar to you. Allegra Clark also voices Maki Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen, Marisa in Street Fighter 6, and Dorothea Arnault and Shamir Nevrand from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Fuuka Yamagishi voiced by Mamiko Noto & Suzie Yeung

Mamiko Noto also returns for a repeat performance as Fuuka Yamagishi. She most recently voiced Hana in My Happy Marriage, Jun Kazama in Tekken 8, and Yuiyui in KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!

Suzie Yeung voices Fuuka in the English dub. Previously she has voiced Makima in Chainsaw Man, Hanya in Honkai: Star Rail, Chitose Fujiyama in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and she will be voicing Yuffie Kisaragi in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Koromaru voiced by Shinya Takahashi

Shinya Takahashi originated the voice of best boy Koromaru in Persona 3 The Movie, and he is reprising the role in Persona 3 Reload. Takahashi has voiced several minor roles in anime over the years, but you may know him as Katsumi Matsunaga in Another.

Aigis voiced by Maaya Sakamoto & Dawn M. Bennett

Maaya Sakamoto originated the role of Aigis, and returns in Persona 3 Reload. She is most known for voicing Aerith Gainsborough in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Ling Xiaoyu in Tekken 8, and Shiki Ryogi in The Garden of Sinners.

Besides voicing Aigis, Dawn M. Bennett also voices Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail, Frieda Reiss in Shingeki no Kyojin, Juvia Loxar and Frosch in Fairy Tail, and various characters in SMITE and Hearthstone.

Ken Amada voiced by Megumi Ogata & Justine Lee

Megumi Ogata voiced Ken Amada in both Persona 3 and Persona 3 Reload, but you may know her best for voicing Shinji Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion. She also recently voiced Yuta Okkotsu in Jujustu Kaisen, Tier Harribel in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Yukito Tsukishiro in Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen.

Meanwhile, Justine Lee recently voiced Lani in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Lilium in Shadowverse, and the President character in Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (or Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro).

Shinjiro Aragaki voiced by Kazuya Nakai & Justice Slocum

Lastly, Kazuya Nakai reprises his role as the original voice actor for Shinjiro Aragaki. He is also known as the voice of Roronoa Zoro in One Piece, Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, and Mugen in Samurai Champloo.

Justice Slocum is the English voice for Shinjiro Aragaki. In the past, he has lent his voice to various side characters in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Street Fighter 6, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
