As one of the biggest gaming events of the year, The Game Awards 2023 had plenty of announcements in store during this morning’s show. From the new God of War Ragnarok DLC, to the new Monster Hunter Wilds trailer reveal, there’s a lot to look forward to in the next two years.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla Free DLC Arrives Dec 12, 2023
God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla will be an epilogue to the story of the base game, featuring familiar combat blended with fresh, experimental elements inspired by the roguelite genre. If you already own a copy of God of War Ragnarök, the free DLC will be downloadable from the PlayStation Store on December 12th, 9AM PST.
Final Fantasy XVI Announces Two Paid Story DLCs; First One Drops Today
The first DLC titled Echoes of the Fallen launches on PlayStation Store today, while the second DLC titled The Rising Tide arrives Spring 2024. Both DLCs can be purchased individually, or players can purchase the Final Fantasy XVI Expansion Pass to enjoy a discounted price.
Capcom Reveals First Look At Monster Hunter Wilds
In conjunction with Capcom’s 40th anniversary, fans were treated to a first look at Monster Hunter Wilds, the next open-world mainline game in the Monster Hunter franchise. The title is slated to release in 2025, with more information coming in Summer 2024.
Hideo Kojima Collaborates With Jordan Peele On New Horror Game, OD
Hideo Kojima revealed the teaser trailer for his new horror game titled OD starring Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier. This project will also be a collaboration with famed horror filmmaker Jordan Peele and a team of other “legends”, fondly dubbed “The Avengers” by Kojima.
Arkane Lyon Reveals First Look At Marvel’s Blade
From the studio that developed Dishonored and DEATHLOOP, Arkane Lyon has announced that they’re working a Blade video game. This mature, single-player, third-person game will be set in the heart of Paris with the legendary Daywalker, Eric Brooks, as its main character.
Sega Revives Five Franchises Including Streets of Rage
In an unexpected series of announcements, SEGA has new games in development for Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Crazy Taxi — with even more games to be announced. No news on official launch dates, although this remains exciting news for long time fans.
