Earlier this year, the popular turn-based game developed by Hoyoverse, Honkai Star Rail, had announced collaborations with restaurants and cafes across the globe. Malaysia’s leg of the journey was a joint effort with La Juiceria Superfoods, with both parties working together to bring Star Rail to life for fans of the game.
We dropped by to experience the collaborative event, and here are some things that stood out to us!
Interior Decor
Being a themed collab event, La Juiceria Superfoods’ location at Menara Hap Seng 2 had been decorated beautifully with Star Rail visuals and elements. There were several life-sized character standees that fans can take photos with. Pom Pom the train conductor also made an appearance too, along with the iconic Trailblazer trash can at the entrance to the store.
The next area was the merchandising booth, where fans could drop by and purchase official Honkai Star Rail goods. There were tons of wubbaboo balloons placed at the booth, along with different merchandise on the display racks.
We were also greeted by official artworks from the game on the walls, as well as character standees of the two newest characters, Topaz and Jingliu. Besides that, the organisers also played some popular songs from the Honkai Star Rail soundtrack, which helped to elevate the experience of being transported into the game’s universe.
The Food
A range of different foods were available for fans to choose from, all closely mimicking dishes from the game. Every detail was considered, from the names of the dishes to the look of every item presented. Each set consisted of a main dish, a side dish and a drink.
If we were to visit again, Combo B would be our go-to option, for a filling and hearty meal overall. After enjoying the savoury noodles, one can enjoy the crispy and delicious sweet potato balls, with a flavourful tropical drink on the side.
Special Guests
We also had the pleasure to meet some amazing cosplayers during our visit! One of them was Rynna遴儿, who brought the Honkai Star Rail character, Kafka to life.
Fate Feather also made a special appearance at the event, performing multiple Honkai Star Rail songs with her melodious vocals. These songs included Take The Journey, Samudrathra and Interstellar Journey.
Overall, it was definitely an amazing time experiencing the time at the collab event as a Star Rail fan. The event is running up till 14th November 2023, so go experience it first-hand and don’t miss out on the fun!
