The world’s largest video games festival, gamescom, is hosting its only satellite event in Singapore for another year! gamescom asia 2023 will be held at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore from 19–22 October 2023, with both physical and online components for gamers all around the world to enjoy.
This also marks the first year that gamescom asia will be hosting a physical Entertainment Zone featuring exhibits from Capcom, PlayStation, SEGA, Ubisoft Singapore, Neopets, and more. Meanwhile, the virtual shows PRIMETIME and STUDIO promise to showcase the latest trailers, teasers, extended content, talks and more from the event.

Capcom Asia, 4Divinity, Neopets & More At The Entertainment Zone
From 20-22 October, the Entertainment Zone brings a showcase of trending games, interactive entertainment, and featured areas like indies, esports, cosplay, boardgames, group play zones, and more. Visitors can lay their hands on games by their favourite publishers, watch live stage entertainment, and even visit the designated food alley to fuel up throughout the weekend.
Some highlights from the convention floor include Capcom Asia, who will be bringing titles like Dragon’s Dogma 2, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Exoprimal, Street Fighter 6, and the Resident Evil series.
4Divinity will be showcasing a playable demo of the highly anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl; Ubisoft Singapore will be presenting an art exhibition featuring Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Skull and Bones; Mundfish will be presenting the new Annihilation Instinct DLC for Atomic Heart; and not to mention, Neopets will be showcasing reimagined classic mini-games from “World of Neopets” including Turmac Roll.
The Best Of Indie Developers & Publishers At Indie Wavemakers
Indie Wavemakers is an exciting new IP from the creators of GameStart Asia, one of the leading gaming conventions in the Southeast Asia region from 2014 – 2019. With a focus on indie games, Indie Wavemakers 2023 is set to make its debut at gamescom asia 2023, showcasing the latest and greatest upcoming games from indie developers and publishers.
Throughout the event, 30 exhibitors from 15 countries will showcase their indie games and attendees can vote for their favourites as part of the Indie Wavemaker Awards. There will also be a live stage with gameplay demos, interviews, and panel discussions that will be broadcasted across Indie Wavemakers and gamescom asia social platforms.
Capcom Pro Tour Offline Singapore 2023
The Capcom Pro Tour, the premier destination for competitive Street Fighter 6, will be hosting their Offline Premiere Singapore from 20-22 October. The winner will receive $15,000 in prize money, and automatically qualify for one of the 48 positions at CAPCOM CUP X. Not only that, CAPCOM CUP X boasts a massive first place prize of $1,000,000, the largest ever awarded prize since the launch of Street Fighter 6!
Cosplayer & Voice Actor Appearances
Are you a fan of Honkai: Star Rail? Don’t miss your chance to meet your favourite characters in person at the Entertainment Zone Main Stage. The voice actors for Luocha (Craig Lee Thomas), Clara (Emily Sun), Seele (Molly Zhang), and Bailu (Su Ling Chan) will be appearing on stage and hosting meet & greet sessions throughout the weekend.
Cosplayers Charess and Kitz Cua, and Faye Mata, voice actress for Street Fighter 6’s A.K.I., and will also be hosting meet and greet sessions on 21st October and 22nd October respectively.
PRIMETIME & STUDIO Online Shows
If you’re not able to head down to the event in person, don’t fret! Online shows PRIMETIME and STUDIO will return on gamescom asia’s Youtube page, on 19th October and 22th October respectively, with sneak peeks and other extended content for global audiences.
PRIMETIME, happening on 19th October at 8PM, will be a 1-hour showcase filled with news, first looks, game premieres, and much more from the ASEAN region and around the world. STUDIO, happening on 21st October at 1PM, will present extended demos, gameplay, awesome indies, and the highly anticipated Southeast Asian showcase!
