Indonesia-Made ‘Whisper Mountain Outbreak’ Demo Arrives 26 October

It’s 1998; a mining operation on Mt. Bisik inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when they disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain. People started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. Now, you and your friends are trapped in the cursed Mt. Bisik.

Whisper Mountain: Outbreak is an isometric survival horror game with online co-op compatibility, where you and up to 4 friends must work together to explore abandoned buildings, fight monsters, scavenge resources, craft items, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape the whispering madness.

Long-time Resident Evil fans may have noticed that the game was heavily inspired by Resident Evil Outbreak, one of the first survival horror games to feature co-op gameplay that was an unfortunate commercial flop. Tired of waiting for Capcom to remake Resident Evil Outbreak, Toge Productions decided to make their own version. As such, the planning for Whisper Mountain Outbreak started in around 2021.

The game will be releasing its first demo for a limited time only from 26th October to 2nd November 2023 in conjunction with Steam Scream Fest. THE MAGIC RAIN team got a first look at the demo at Level Up KL 2023 and instantly fell in love with its retro survival horror design and infectiously fun gameplay that’s primed for chaos with friends.
