Happy Star Wars Day, and may the fourth be with you! Fortnite just dropped the best way to spend your May 4th, and that’s by completing their new “Find The Force” event. In addition to new Star Wars prequel skins and a limited-time Battle Pass, Fortnite has also introduced actual force abilities into the game.
Here’s everything you need to know about the V24.30 update.
New Battle Pass: Free & Premium Rewards Tracks
From now until May 23, complete Find The Force quests to unlock Star Wars themed cosmetics, level-up rewards, and a Clone Trooper skin. Top up another 1,000 V-Bucks and unlock the Premium Reward Track which includes the Wolf Pack Trooper skin, Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper skin, and even more exciting, the Darth Maul skin. You will also unlock the Coruscant Guard skin immediately upon purchasing the Premium Reward Track.
New Skins: Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala & More Troopers
If you’re hungering for even more Star Wars skins, the Item Shop might have what you’re looking for. Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala cosmetic sets are available now in the shop, as well as skins for the 501st Trooper and 212th Battalion Trooper.
New Abilities: Force Training with Obi-Wan, Anakin, or Darth Maul
Are you ready to begin your Jedi training… or your Sith training? Holograms of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul have appeared throughout the map. If you accept their offer to train you, you’ll unlock new Force abilities and a lightsaber for the rest of the match. Not only that, each character has a unique Force ability: Obi-Wan uses the Force to push, Anakin uses it to pull, and Darth Maul uses it to throw.
Regardless of which trainer you choose, your new Force abilities also grant the ability to sprint faster and double jump. However, you can only do this when your lightsaber is equipped. It’s also worth noting that choosing either the Light or Dark Side doesn’t affect your Battle Pass, so have fun experimenting with all three!
New Weapons: Lightsabers & DC-15 Blasters
Lastly, it wouldn’t be a new event without some new weapons. The Lightsabers are a familiar melee weapon for veteran players, but the DC-15 Blaster is a brand new weapon with high accuracy and unlimited ammo, which excels at medium-to-long range combat. The DC-15 Blaster drops from Republic Chests which can be found in Clone Trooper camps.
