Sitting in your favorite chair and playing Call of Duty all night while sipping a cold Mountain Dew is one of the most relaxing things you can do, and anime can provide you with the same feeling!

We all know that anime appeals to a wide range of people with varying tastes, that’s why first-person shooter (FPS) fans need to look no further than this list of anime to satisfy their trigger finger.

These seven anime will provide you with the same rush of adrenaline as games like Call of Duty and Deus Ex and are a blast to watch if you enjoy playing FPS games!

7. Heavy Objects

Heavy Object (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb

The one sin that humanity will never be able to atone for is the lack of an official Metal Gear anime; however, we do have Heavy Objects. In this series, there are massive spherical tanks called “Objects” in the distant future, and they are weapons of war that threaten the future of any nation.

It’s up to Qwenthur and Havia, two lowly soldiers, and Milinda, an object pilot, to fight and destroy enemy objects while also defending the world and their own lives. The main character’s tactics and plans are revealed throughout the show, and it’s very reminiscent of the gameplay of first-person stealth games like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell.

You’ll enjoy this watching this if you want a show that reminds you of Metal Gear’s outrageous premise.

6. Btooom!

Btooom! (TV Series 2012) - IMDb

In a first-person shooter, grenades are just as important and are frequently overlooked. Btooom!! is a death game anime about eight contestants who are trapped on a deserted island with bombs as their weapons. These one-of-a-kind bombs are known as “BIM,” and they range in complexity from timed to trigger bombs.

Each contestant must use these bombs to survive and figure out the nature of the death game’s circumstances. As we see all of the different types of bombs and personalities, the show plays with the concepts of survival and hero shooters.

Given that the death game was inspired by the FPS game, Btoom, it contains a variety of elements that make the genre enthralling.

5. Psycho-Pass

Psycho Pass Opening 1 full [ Ling Tosite Sigure - Abnormalize ] ENG SUB - YouTube

Psycho-Pass is a story about justice and corruption in a future society, and it’s on the more cerebral end of the spectrum. The Sibyl System is a method of examining a person’s mental state in order to determine whether they have criminal intent, or premeditated justice, in the twenty-first century.

Akane Tsunemori is a naive woman who becomes an enforcer and wants to fight for pure justice. However, the Sibyl System may be corrupt, and she must figure out what true justice is.

Games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Deus Ex are stylistically and tonally similar to Psycho-Pass. Besides, the signature Sibyl System raises ethical concerns similar to those raised in Deus Ex. Give it a look if you enjoy a good sci-fi thriller!

4. Black Lagoon

Black Lagoon (TV Series 2006) - IMDb

The feeling of being an overpowered killing machine is one of the most important sensations a good first-person shooter can provide, making killing bad guys a cathartic experience.

Rokurou Okajima becomes involved with the dangerous Black Lagoon mercenary group in Black Lagoon. The show is packed with high-octane action and is tightly directed to make you feel each gun shot. Applause to Studio Madhouse who is known to produced anime with horrific gore and impactful action that will get your heart racing.

This adventure is for you if you want a show with the energy of Doom and the visceral action of a John Woo film.

3. Trigun

Trigun (TV Series 1998) - IMDb

Sometimes all you need is a fugitive with a gun. Trigun pursues Vash the Stampede, an outlaw with a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head.

Vash the Stampede is rumored to be a ruthless killer who leaves a trail of destruction in his wake, but in reality, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. He is followed as he travels through the wasteland, assisting civilians while dealing with his past.

If you’ve ever played a Bethesda game, the show’s episodic structure will remind you of a Fallout game. Western weapons and aesthetics are both pleasing and visceral. It is a thoroughly heart -pounding experience!

2. HighSchool Of The Dead

Highschool of the Dead (TV Series 2010) - IMDb

HighSchool of the Dead is an anime adaptation of the shambling dead, complete with blood and gore. In the style of a zombie outbreak, a group of hormonal teenagers try to stay together and exact revenge on the undead.
