‘Pony Island 2’ Opens Playtests Ahead Of April 2027 Release

Daniel Mullins, the creator of Inscryption, opened playtest sign-ups on Steam for his next project Pony Island 2: Panda Circus during the Triple-iii showcase earlier this month. Selected players will be able to try Pony Island 2 ahead of launch and help shape the game’s development with their feedback.

The hotly anticipated follow-up to Mullins’ 2016 metatextual nightmare Pony Island is launching on Steam on April 27th, 2027. In conjunction with the announcement, the original Pony Island has also been made available for free on Steam for a limited time.

Pony Island 2: Panda Circus is a phantasmagorical voyage through time, myth, divinity, and video games. You play as a young nomad who would have gone on to conquer the world… until an early death doomed you to The Earth Prison. Now you must escape the lordly deities of the underworld with your soul, and your sanity, intact.

Bargain for your soul with the eccentric deities who reign over The Earth Prison, and beat (or break) their games with naught but your steed, your thumb drive, and your wits. This is not a game about ponies.

Pony Island 2: Panda Circus launches on Steam in April 2027. Wishlist the game now ahead of its release.
