Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger have been teasing Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans with slow revelations of the new main cast. After four days of character reveals, we finally have a release date for the second season! Through the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners official X account, we now know that it’ll be released sometime in Fall 2026.
New Cast
This time around, the main cast features entirely new faces. Here they are in order of their reveals:
- Weak Kingsley – A veteran Edgerunner who “now lives in the shadow of his former glory.”
- D (Yes, just D) – A Snack Nation Netrunner, seeking vengeance against the person(s) who wiped out his clan.
- Roman Carax – The youngest of the crew. An avid cinephile, he’ll witness every gig’s cost, every fall, and every legend.
- Talia Yang – She’s from the Corp Towers, but her heart crave 2 things; chrome and violence.
Behind The Scenes
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be directed by Ikarashi Kai, whereas character designs will be under Ichigo Kanno’s supervision. Returning for the sequel are the original writers, Bartosz Sztybor and Otsuka Masahiko.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was officially announced July 2025 via a short teaser trailer. The new series will feature a 10-episode standalone story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 world. However, there’s more to come as the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners official X account teases more information to be revealed today.
The official description reads as follows: “In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter?“
