Our Favourite Sponsor & Exhibitor Booths At Comic Fiesta 2025

Another Comic Fiesta has come and gone, and, as always, the event was jam-packed with activity. The exhibitors’ booths in particular took up nearly the entire ground floor of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, with major brands flocking to advertise their wares to thousands of curious attendees.

While each booth had their fair share of attractions, some definitely stood out more than others, whether through creative setups or intriguing offers. We at THE MAGIC RAIN had the honour of attending Comic Fiesta 2025, and we’re here to share our top 5 sponsor and exhibitor booths from the event (in no particular order):

1. Sylvanian Families

Who doesn’t love Sylvanian Families? With a huge variety of adorable creatures to choose from, it’s safe to say many of us dreamed of owning one as a kid.

I’m sure many attendees were tempted to indulge their inner child at Sylvanian Families’ first-ever Comic Fiesta booth, which featured product displays, merchandise sales, and even a photo spot. Visitors could even redeem a free goodie bag just by following their page.

2. Pony Canyon

The Japanese anime studio Pony Canyon turned heads with a massive display for their anime series Tougen Anki, featuring glowing neon signs, character standees, and a shooting range mini-game where visitors could earn freebies for participating.

The centrepiece of the booth was a life-size statue of the anime’s main character, Shiki in his berserk form, which could be seen from miles away as it towered over everything in its vicinity.

3. Chop\Sticks

Chop\Sticks rocked their debut at Comic Fiesta with an open-mic karaoke stage that anyone could participate in, immediately drawing the attention of everyone passing by as they craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the singers.

Visitors to the booth could also learn about the Chop\Sticks app, participate in a stamp rally, and earn freebies. The booth was also graced by a surprise appearance from Filipino-Japanese singer RIN/Gemie, who performed some of her popular songs.

4. Lorcana

While there were many trading card game booths present at the event, the Disney Lorcana TCG booth easily stood out with its intricate theming and eye-catching displays.

The booth offered merchandise sales, displays of actual Lorcana cards, and a learn-to-play section, where participants could also earn a free card just for picking up the game. Visitors could also snap a picture with giant-sized versions of selected Lorcana cards.

5. MDEC

Located at the juncture between Exhibitor Zone A and B, the MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) booth commanded attention with six Malaysian-made indie games on display.

Attendees could not only try out free demos of the games, but also had a rare opportunity to speak to the developers, and even snag some exclusive freebies in the process. Read more about the booth here.

Honourable Mention: Bichi Mao

This brand gets a bonus entry because while they didn’t quite have a booth of their own, they did manage to make an appearance at not one, but two different exhibitors’ booths at Comic Fiesta. Bichi Mao, the chonky cat brainchild of local creator Niko Studio, could be seen collaborating with two of Comic Fiesta’s exhibitors: Nescafe Iced and SimplyHeal.

It’s been a particularly momentous year for Bichi Mao, with the Comic Fiesta booths coming off their collaborations with Touch ‘N Go, Bio-essence, KTM Komuter, and more. It was nice to see a local IP rise to such prominence, especially in the midst of so many international franchises.

That concludes our list of our top exhibitor booths from Comic Fiesta 2025! Tell us about your favourite in the comments, and stay tuned for more event coverage!
