The anime film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back premieres early with a fan screening at TGV Cinemas this August 31st, 2024.
Based on a one-shot manga by the Chainsaw Man creator, its story follows the overly confident Fujino and the shut-in Kyomoto, who couldn’t be more different, but a love of drawing manga brings these two small-town girls together. The one-shot is a poignant story about growing up and moving forward.
Look Back originally debuted on Shounen Jump+ in July 2021, and hit over 2.1 million views on the first day. The title won the first Rakuten Kobo E-book Awards and was also nominated for an Eisner Award last year. It also won second place at the 15th manga Taisho awards.
Tickets to the fan screening are RM85 per person and comes with an exclusive original draft of the Look back manga and a special edition bookmark imported from Japan, and a collectible A3 size Japanese poster.
The fan screening will take place exclusively on August 31st at 3pm, only at the TGV Cinemas outlets in Sunway Pyramid, Gurney Paragon and Toppen Johor Bahru. Fans can purchase tickets now on the TGV Cinemas website.
