Ghost Hunting Co-op Game ‘Spook-A-Boo’ Revealed for PC, PS5, Switch & More

Soft Source Publishing and India-based indie developer Wala Interactive have announced Spook-A-Boo, a new ghost hunting co-op adventure game. The game is described as a light-hearted top-down, level-based co-op game inspired by Saturday morning cartoons like Scooby-Doo and Ghostbusters.

Spook-A-Boo welcomes you and up to three friends to join the D.E.D (Dimensional Entity Department) and hunt down troublemaking ghosts across time and space. Save the world solo or with couch and online co-op, armed with an assortment of gadgets to locate, lure, and trap ghosts hidden in plain sight.

“Spook-A-Boo isn’t just about catching ghosts, it’s a love letter to the era of gaming when multiplayer meant plugging in a second controller (or three!) and crowding around the TV,” says Megha Gupta, Game Producer and Co-Founder, Wala Interactive. “This demo is closer to our final vision and a slice of what you can expect before the full game ships later in the year. We hope you have as much fun playing it as we had making it.”

“After playing Spook-A-Boo and talking to the team behind it, we instinctively felt it was a right fit for Soft Source’s mission: to surface the best Asian games to the world,” says Sameer Pandit, Publishing Director, Soft Source Publishing. “We can’t wait to share more in the lead up to launch.”

Spook-A-Boo is slated to release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Wishlist the game on Steam, or try out the game’s demo at the Soft Source Publishing booth in Indie Jam 2026.
