Markiplier’s ‘Iron Lung’ Officially Comes To TGV, GSC Cinemas

Markiplier’s indie horror sensation Iron Lung is officially set to make its Malaysian debut sometime this year, with both TGV and GSC Cinemas confirming screenings of the film. No release date has been confirmed for either cinema chain at the time of writing.

Iron Lung is an adaptation of an indie horror game of the same name, created by solo developer David Szymanski. The story is set entirely within the confines of a submarine as it travels through an alien ocean made of blood, with the player being forced to navigate by only looking through the submarine’s camera.

The film adaptation was self-financed, directed, and distributed by YouTuber Markiplier, who also stars as its lead character. Initially set for a limited run across North America, the Iron Lung film smashed expectations with an estimated $17.8 million opening day, with more international screenings to follow across Europe and Southeast Asia.
