Developed by Winter Crew and published by CMD Studios, Fallen Tear: The Ascension, dashes onto PC with a brand-new demo available now in the lead up to February’s Steam Next Fest, which will be taking place from February 23rd to March 2nd, 2026.
Fallen Tear: The Ascension combines the emotional weight and party-building of classic JRPGs with the freeform exploration of Metroidvanias and just a sprinkle of roguelike challenge. Every run teaches you something new—map paths, enemy patterns, and hidden mechanics. But the story, character progress, and upgrades carry forward.
In the newest demo, slash, dodge, and parry incoming attacks as Hira explores a never-before-seen area of Raoah. Meet new NPCs and forge friendships with additional allies to harness their abilities in both combat and traversal with the ally assist-focused Fated Bonds system.
From mages and swordsmen, to tricksters and healers, travel alongside more than sixteen fully-voiced allies in the final game, each with their own abilities to experiment with and stories to unravel.
