The second season of Zenless Zone Zero finally comes to a close in Version 2.5, introducing the new Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, the popular Zhao, a series of highly anticipated events and gameplay optimisations this December 30th.
To celebrate the new year and express gratitude for the Proxies’ support, Version 2.5 will also grant Proxies a free S-Rank Agent Zhao, 1,000 Polychromes, a new outfit for Jane, and additional rewards.

Free Pre-Registration Event Rewards
Event Details: Pre-registering on the website before the Version 2.5 launch will allow you to claim Polychrome ×320, Dennies x 200,000, Prototype Seal x 100, Senior Investigator Log x 75, a commemorative in-game item “Letter from Xiao’Guang”, and an exclusive game title when Version 2.5 launches.

Free S-Rank Agent Zhao
Event Details: During the “Special Visitor” event, log in to obtain the limited S-Rank Agent Zhao and receive upgrade supplies that will instantly level up your Agent to Lv. 40.

Free Upgraded Character Trials
Event Details: During the event, test out new character upgrades for Burnice, Grace, Soldier 11, Soldier 0 – Anby, and Ellen through trial stages. Completing these trial stages will unlock trial stage rewards including Polychromes.
Requirements: Available after unlocking Ridu Weekly in Chapter 1 of the main story.
Event Duration: After the Version 2.5 update – End of Version 2.5
Free Main Story Chapter 6 Rewards
Event Details: Complete the Chapter 6 Main Commission to receive Inter-Knot Credits x1,000, Encrypted Master Tape x1, Senior Investigator Log x8, W-Engine Energy Module x4, and Dennies x50,000. Complete by February 5th to earn another Polychromes x100.
Event Duration: Permanently available after Version 2.5 goes live.
Requirements: Complete Season 2 Chapter 5 “On the Precipice of the Abyss”, or experience this content in advance via the Advance Screening function after ranking up your Inter-Knot Reputation in Season 1 Chapter 1 – Intermission.
Free Sword Seeker Chronicles Event
Event Details: Complete the limited-time reward missions to obtain the event-exclusive W-Engine Cauldron of Clarity and its exclusive enhancement materials, Hamster Cage Pass, Polychromes, and various upgrade materials as rewards.

In the “Exclusive Rescreening” Signal Search channel, your first S-Rank Agent obtained is guaranteed to be your selected rate-up Agent, and your first 10-Signal Searches will receive a 20% discount. These rules also apply to the “W-Engine Reverberation” Signal Search channel.

Event Details: During the event, purchasing Monochromes, New Eridu City Fund, Dawn Seeker’s Ticket, cash-bought Gifts, and Inter-Knot Memberships all give specific amounts of commemorative ticket stubs. You can accumulate a maximum of 15,000 ticket stubs.
Accumulating specific amounts of commemorative ticket stubs will unlock the corresponding reward, including two free S-Rank Agents and W-Engines (choose between Qing Yi, Burnice, and Jane Doe). The other rewards are as follows:

Updates to Signal Search Mechanics
Starting from Version 2.5, players will now receive Residual Signal ×100 when obtaining the same S-Rank Agent for the 8th time or more, and they will also receive Special Invitation Letter ×1.
If you have obtained the same S-Rank Agent 8 or more times before Version 2.5, the corresponding number of Special Invitation Letters will be reissued via mail after the Version 2.5 update.
Updates to W-Engine Dismantling
Starting from Version 2.5, when players dismantle A-Rank W-Engines, they will obtain W-Engine Chips corresponding to the W-Engine’s phase. (Example: Dismantling a Phase 3 W-Engine Box Cutter yields W-Engine Chip ×3).
If players dismantled A-Rank W-Engines above Phase 1 before Version 2.5, after the Version 2.5 update, the corresponding number of W-Engine Chips will be reissued via in-game mail based on the Proxy’s historical dismantling records before 2025/12/31 23:59 (UTC+8). (Example: If 10 Phase 3 Box Cutter W-Engines were dismantled before Version 2.5, 20 W-Engine Chips will be reissued via mail.)
