LaLaport BBCC’s WoW Plaza recently played host to the first-ever Start Engine & Brew, a three-day event that showcased coffee and cars from both local and international vendors. Organised by Robust Synergy, with support from Tourism Malaysia, visitors to the event got to check out cars from brands such as Subaru, Chery, Porsche, and Toyota, while also trying out delicious drinks and snacks.

A major highlight from the event was the launch of MonteVenz, a Venezuelan coffee brand that aimed to combine high-quality Venezuelan coffee with the unique flavours of Malaysia. The event’s opening ceremony was graced by H.E. Radamés Jesús Gómez Azuaje, the Ambassador of Venezuela to Malaysia, who also introduced visitors to traditional Venezuelan dishes such as the arepa and tequeño.
“This program is not only about trade and investment, but also cultural exchange and flavours that reflect the spirit of ‘People-to-People Connection’,” shared Azuaje. “I also support initiatives like MonteVenz as a new bridge in economic diplomacy and cultural exchange.”

Visitors to Start Engine & Brew could also get a taste of Gayo Arabica coffee, a specialty coffee originating from the Aceh region of Indonesia that is known for its full-bodied profile and velvety mouthfeel; as well as a wide variety of artisan desserts from local pâtissier Ninadough.
