Set in the heart of the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, a once-powerful alliance of pirate crews has fallen prey to the cutthroat ambitions of its founding members. In its place now stands a divided archipelago, with captains engaging in a vicious struggle for dominance. With a modest crew and a single ship, you journey to a remote corner of the Caribbean and set into motion a daring plan to avenge your father’s murder and forge a new republic.
Republic of Pirates features three gameplay modes that cater to a range of playstyles and skill levels. Campaign mode is a great starting point, featuring story missions that teach the core mechanics against the backdrop of an epic vengeance-fuelled narrative; free play mode includes four bespoke maps with unique characteristics; and the custom map editor offers a powerful set of tools for creating custom maps, where everything from island count to rival faction behaviour can be tweaked.

- Real-time naval battles: Command a fleet to explore and conquer the archipelago. Engage in real-time strategic combat and switch to the tactical map to plan and execute your next raid.
- Conduct diplomacy: Manage dynamic relationships with pirate crews and trading companies. Harbor rivalries and forge alliances while navigating a diplomatic web where no action goes unnoticed.
- Expand your fleet: Construct 8 unique ship classes and customize your fleet’s appearance. Recruit talented captains, hone their skills in battle, and experiment with a variety of combat tactics.
- Undertake missions: Collect bounties or strike trade deals to influence your standing in the Caribbean. Race to fulfill urgent requests and embellish your settlements with exotic rewards.
- Customizable free play mode: Discover additional pre-made maps or create your own using the map editor. Customize everything from island count to faction behavior.
