Hunt: Showdown 1896 has launched its new “Web of the Empress” in-game Event, bringing a host of new content. If you haven’t tried this tense extraction shooter, now’s the perfect time as new players can learn the ropes in the tutorial, and challenge AI bots to prepare for competition against seasoned veterans.
Web of the Empress also introduces a new Tarot Card mechanic, which offers powerful buffs
and dangerous debuffs for players willing to pay the price. Found in special locations, these
cards can turn any Bounty Hunt match on its head. The update also introduces a new enemy,
Bileweavers: venomous spiders that swarm players in high-risk, high-reward locations.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a game of high risk and high reward, where a single mistake could cost you everything. You’ll experience the lush and dangerous environments of the Louisiana bayou and the mountains of Colorado as a bounty hunter in the late 19th century, while tracking down and eliminate monstrous targets, as well as outwitting (and outgunning) rival players in a tense PvPvE showdown.
Players can hire unique Legendary Hunters, collect weapons and equipment, level up, and
progress with a system of Traits to gain an advantage in a fight. Rewards can be picked up
across the map and gained with progression through Event Battle Passes.
The game is now localized in Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese on PS5 and Xbox, as well as the addition of Simplified Chinese and Korean on PC. It is also available for purchase on PlayStation 5 in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
