‘Dr. Stone: Science Future’ Returns With Final Part In 2026

Dr. Stone: Science Future will conclude with cour 3, set to premiere sometime in 2026. The announcement was made via the series’ official website and social media, following the conclusion of its second cour on September 25.

Science Future is the fourth season of the Dr. Stone anime series, which itself has been split into three “cours” or parts. Staff from previous cours will return for this final instalment, with Shuhei Matsushita directing at TMS Entertainment, series composition by Kurasumi Sunayama, character designs by Yuko Iwasa and music by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutusmi and Yukihiro Kanesaka.

The Dr. Stone anime series is based on a manga of the same name by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, which was serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2017 to 2022. The story is set several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon turns all of humanity to stone, save for one boy, the highly intelligent Senku Ishigami. Senku and his friends thus set out to use his scientific skills to rebuild civilisation, encountering various trials along the way.
