Malaysian indie developer Mythtales Interactive have announced Rogue Skies, a steampunk roguelike deckbuilder now available to wishlist on Steam. Assemble your crew, load the cannons and defend your airship from raiding sky pirates.
Captain your own airship in search of the ultimate treasure by building a deck of unit and skill cards, then engage in tactical turn-based combat as you defend your airship from raiders and enemy sky pirates.
Gameplay Features
- Choose Your Captain: Start your adventure by choosing a captain. Each captain starts with different bonuses and are allied with different guilds, allowing you to personalise your playstyle.
- Explore Floating Cities: To survive, you’ll need all the help you can get. Choose between 2 cities to visit before each combat. Every city presents an opportunity to scout for new crew members, repair and upgrade your ship and encounter random events. Making the correct choice could mean the difference between life and death.
- Customize Your Airship: Outfit your ship with cannons to deal with oncoming threats. Cannons need to be crewed by unit cards in order to fire, but once they’re loaded, they’ll be able to aid you in combat by directly dispatching enemies, or providing buffs to allies.
- Strategic Deck Building: Your deck, your choice. Craft your deck with your favourite strategies. Enlist the aid of different guilds, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. From the valiant Adventurer’s guild, resourceful Cannoneer’s guild to the crafty Inventor’s guild, it’s up to you to mix and match them to create your perfect strategy.
