How To Find These 15 Hidden Characters In ‘Date Everything’ — Game Walkthrough

Developed by Sassy Chap Games, Date Everything is a sandbox dating simulator set in the comfort of your own home. Armed with a pair of magical glasses that turns your household objects into dateable characters, the game single-handedly defeats the touching grass agenda by giving you absolutely no reason to leave your home. Not when you could be dating everything from your kitchen cabinets to your bathroom sink.

However, its massive cast of characters means that some Dateables are harder to find than others. That’s why we’ve compiled fifteen of the most hidden characters in the game, so you can complete your Date-a-Dex, and quite literally, date everything!

1. Reggie (#100)

One of the easier “hidden” characters to find, Reggie appears the moment whenever you achieve a Hate Status from any of the other Dateables. After that, he can be found on your Phone by clicking on his App. He will also continue to appear whenever you achieve other Hate Endings throughout the game.

2. Dolly (#21)

Although Dolly is one of the earlier characters in the Date-A-Dex, she can be a little tricky to find. First, you have to de-equip the Dateviators and go to the two-seater couch in your Living Room. Click on the couch a few times, and a dust bunny will appear in the space between the couch and the fireplace. Then equip the Dateviators and use it on the dust bunny to unlock Dolly.

3. Willi (#57)

Willi is not a hard character to find, but one that might be unintuitive to most players. After all, why would you want to go back to your Work App after you get laid off? But if you want to romance the personification of your work, make sure you have your Work Chat open on your Phone, then press the Space Bar to use your Dateviators.

4. The Sassy Chap (#95)

Continuing the trend of dating your phone, The Sassy Chap can be found when you click on the Credits App on your Phone. At any point in time during the credits, press the Space Bar to use your Dateviators and unlock his character.

5. Textbox-Chan (#94)

The last of the hidden characters in your phone, Textbox-Chan can be found whenever you use your Dateviators on a menu textbox. Although there are multiple ways to trigger this interaction, we found it the most reliable to click on the Main Menu App in your Phone, then without interacting with the textbox, press the Space Bar to use your Dateviators.

6. Rongomaiwhenua (#59)

In Date Everything, there are a handful of characters that are locked behind other characters’ quests. In order to find Rongomaiwhenua, you must first complete Beau’s quest. After that, a heart-shaped geode will appear permanently on one of your office shelves. Use the Dateviators on it to properly unlock Rongomaiwhenua.

7. I, Ronaldini (#44)

In order to unlock this eccentric magician, you must first complete Bobby Pinn’s quest, which you can kickstart in the Laundry Room closet next to the vacuum. Once you complete her quest, she unlocks the small closet in your kitchen and unveils I, Ronaldini. Use your Dateviators on the ironing board to properly unlock his character.

8. Airyn (#93)

Airyn can only be found once you set the thermostat next to the Front Door to cold. You can do this by de-equipping the Dateviators and clicking the thermostat until the snowflake icon appears. After that, she will appear at random HVAC vents throughout the house in the form of a visible breeze. While her appearances throughout the house are random, you can listen for the sound of blowing air to guide your way.

9. Daemon (#68)

Although not technically hidden, Daemon is a character that might catch you by surprise. You can find him by using the Dateviators on your bedroom dresser, located below the giant mirror. However, you’ll have to be a little persistent and visit him multiple times before the character is properly unlocked in your Date-a-Dex.

10. Zoey Bennett (#96)

Once you use up all your charges for the day, head to the Attic to find a floating orb of light. Use your Dateviators (with empty charges) on the orb to unlock Zoey Bennett. It is important to note that you must follow these exact instructions every single time you want to speak to Zoey, until she becomes permanently available in the Attic after you complete her quest.

To unlock all the characters in the Attic, you must first unlock the door using Keith the Skeleton Key. This character can be found in the Crawl Space underneath your house, which can be accessed through the Trap Door under the rug in your Office Closet.

11. Monique (#90)

In order to unlock Monique, you must first complete Sophia’s quest. Once you achieve any kind of ending with Sophia, de-equip the Dateviators and click on the safe to reveal the stacks of money kept inside. Use the Dateviators on the money to unlock Monique.

12. Nightmare (#99)

Nightmare is another character with a multi-step process, unless you have incredible luck. This character has a 3% chance of appearing every night when you go to sleep. However, you can have a guaranteed appearance from Nightmare if you interact with Kopi the Coffee Machine using your last charge of the day.

In order for this to be success, you must accept a coffee from Kopi (choosing the “no coffee” dialogue option will not work) and you must see the coffee-drinking animation after the interaction is over (which sometimes doesn’t happen if your interaction with Kopi is part of another quest). Once you fulfill the above conditions, you should trigger Nightmare’s appearance after you go to sleep.

13. xxXShadowl0rd420Xxx (#97)

Date Everything gives you multiple hints on how to find this character, mentioning a spot in the house that is permanently enshrouded in shadow. However, finding the character is trickier than expected. You can find xxXShadowlord420Xxx underneath the Globe next to your Back Door, and this is the only place he can be found in the entire house.

14. Doug (#98)

Your Overwhelming Sense of Existential Dread, or more colloquially named, Doug can be found directly opposite your Dining Table. Face Scandalabra the Candelabra, then look directly behind you at the blank wall while wearing your Dateviators. Stare at the wall for 30 to 60 seconds and Doug will appear automatically. If this doesn’t work, try stepping closer or further from the wall and repeat the process until it works.

15. Hero Hime (#70)

Hero Hime is one of the final characters you’re going to find in the game, for a couple of reasons. First, you need to unlock the Realisation feature in the game’s main story. This can be done by Awakening 48 characters. (Note: This might not be an accurate figure, but this is what we noted when we unlocked the feature in our playthrough.)

Once you Realise 10 characters in the game, you will receive a text from Sam claiming she has a present for you. The figurine of Hero Hime will appear automatically on your dresser the next morning. Use your Dateviators on the figurine to unlock Hero Hime.
