Video games mental health charity Safe In Our World launched its biggest charity games bundle yet in collaboration with Fanatical to raise money for mental health awareness and support within the games industry.
The Safe In Our World Charity Bundle collected 27 Steam games, including popular titles such as Psychonauts, Little Kitty Big City, and Ankora: Lost Days, in a bundle worth over $495 in total. The now sold-out bundle managed to raise $200,486, or approximately over RM800,000, for charity.
All proceeds from the charity bundle contributed towards Safe In Our World’s future initiatives for mental health in the global games industry. Having provided over $300,000 of free training since its inception in 2019, Safe In Our World pledged to continue to offer crucial support to the people within the games industry and the wider community.
“Last year presented significant challenges for the industry, but we are incredibly proud and grateful for the impact Safe In Our World has achieved during this time. This success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community,” said Sarah Sorrell, Charity Director of Safe In Our World.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the forward-thinking companies that donated their games and the amazing individuals who support the charity by purchasing the bundles. As we move into 2025, we remain dedicated to expanding our core offerings for the industry while continuing to raise awareness, improve access, and promote positivity around mental health.”
Alan Wild, Head of Business Development at Fanatical, shared: “At Fanatical, we believe in the power of gaming to connect, support, and inspire people. Partnering with Safe In Our World allows us to contribute to a cause that resonates within the gaming community. It is great to see the generosity of both publishers and players coming together to make a real difference in mental health awareness and support.”
While the Safe In Our World charity bundle is no longer available for purchase, you can still support the charity directly by making a donation on their website.
