Wind Breaker Gets 2nd Season In April 2025; Game Adaptation Announced

Satoru Nii’s Wind Breaker anime adaptation is receiving a second season this April 2025, and a game adaptation on the way. The news was revealed during the Tofu Shopping District Halloween Festival event last Sunday.

The series is set in Furin High School, a school of degenerates known only for their brawling strength — strength they use to protect their town from anyone who wishes it ill. However, new student Haruka Sakura is not interested in being a hero or being part of any sort of team. He just wants to fight his way to the top!

Wind Breaker was first serialised on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga website in January 2021, and has since released 19 volumes. The series was adapted into an anime television series produced by CloverWorks in April 2024.

The second season premieres one year later on April 2025, featuring new cast member Ryota Osaka as Tasuku Tsubakino, a third year high school student at Furin High School and one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Bofurin. Ryota Osaka is best known for voicing Marco Bodt in Attack On Titan, Zen in Snow White with the Red Hair, and Yosuke Hirata in Classroom of the Elite.

The series will also receive a game adaptation titled Wind Breaker: Heroic Tales of Delinquents. The game’s first promotional video and teaser visual was revealed on Sunday together with the second season announcement, but no other details were revealed.
