V-Muse 2024 Brings A VTuber Music Bonanza to Malaysia

V-Muse 2024, Southeast Asia’s first VTuber music festival, saw a diverse array of talented VTubers from around the world performing right here in Malaysia on the 13th of October. THE MAGIC RAIN had the exciting opportunity to attend the event, which took place at JioSpace in Petaling Jaya.

One of the most exciting aspects of V-Muse 2024 was the opportunity to see a variety of VTubers on stage, many of whom were performing in Malaysia for the first time. There were two parts to the festival, which were a Day Show and a Night Special.

The Day Show lineup mostly consisted of VTubers from up-and-coming corporations or groups, as well as a few indie VTubers. Talents from Dexter, Requiem, AKA Virtual Indonesia, Production Kawaii and independent VTubers from the USA, the Philippines and even Malaysia got to strut their stuff on stage for their fans.

The Night Special saw internationally renowned stars such as Bao the Whale, Mint Fantome, and VShojo’s K9Kuro and Ironmouse, who made the stage their own and showed fans wonderful performances. Idol group KLP48 also joined the stage as a special guest to heighten the excitement even further.

The festival offered attendees a truly immersive experience, where they could not only watch their favourite VTubers sing on stage, but also interact with them through meet-and-greet sessions taking place at JioSpace’s Kings Hall. Fans could be seen donning headsets and chatting away with K9Kuro, Ironmouse, and Mint Fantome, as well as Taring Hu from Globie and Hiyori Mokami from Production Kawaii. KLP48 also had their own meet-and-greet sessions and merch sales, which attracted many of their supportive fans.

In short, V-Muse 2024 was a celebration of the creativity and community the global VTuber scene has to offer. Those in attendance got to enjoy over 10 hours of original music, cover songs and exciting collaborations. Even those who couldn’t make it to the venue weren’t left out of the fun, as they could tune in to a livestream of the event which ran throughout the day. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing this event grow bigger and to feature even more VTubers in the future!
