Golden Screen Cinemas will be premiering My Hero Academia: You’re Next in Malaysia this November 7th, as announced on their official X/Twitter account. The movie is the fourth feature length installment in the My Hero Academia franchise, premiering in Japan on August 2nd earlier this year.
My Hero Academia: You’re Next takes place after the Paranormal Liberation War, when Class 1-A band together to assist the Pro Heroes in tracking down the Jailbreakers that have run rampant in Japan. However, they run into more trouble than they expect when they have to stop a mysterious giant fortress and a man who resembles the former “Symbol of Peace”.
The movie features new characters Giulio Gandini played by Mamoru Miyano, Anna Scervino played by Meru Nukumi, and Dark Might played by Kenta Miyake. Bones Inc. and the rest of the staff from the first three films returned to animate the movie, while Tensai Okamura (The Seven Deadly Sins, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie) replaced Kenji Nagasaki as director.
The opening song “Homunculus” and the ending song “Gift” are both performed by Vaundy.
