Southeast Asian developers shone at the annual gamescom asia pitch competition, attracting 55 entries from game developers across the globe. The final 13 competitors, hailing from various countries worldwide including 8 developers from Southeast Asia, presented their games to an esteemed panel of industry judges last Friday.
Finalists competed in three exciting categories: Best Pitch, Best Game Design, and Most Anticipated Game. The winners were announced on the same day, walking away with a cash prize of 2,000 SGD and G.Round Playtesting Vouchers worth 2,000 SGD. Southeast Asia swept the show with their exciting pitches, winning all three categories.
Battlebrew Production from Singapore won Best Pitch for “Love In Tiny Spaces”.
Ammobox Studios from Malaysia won Best Game Design for “Project Guardian (working title)”.
Last but not least, Bit Egg Inc from Thailand won Most Anticipated Game for “Lost and Found Co.”
