To Pull Or Not To Pull: Sparkle VS FeiXiao — Honkai: Star Rail Pulling Guide

Ready to be broke, guys? Between FeiXiao making her banner debut in Honkai: Star Rail and Sparkle having her first rerun banner, your pulling decisions could be a game changer for your account. That’s why we’re here to help!

Let’s break down these two powerhouses and help you decide who deserves your precious gems this time.

Sparkle: The Harmony Heroine

Sparkle is back with a bang in her rerun banner as a limited 5-star character following the path of Harmony. As one of the top-tier supports, she brings a lot to the table:

  • Permanent Skill Points: Grants 2 permanent skill points.
  • Ultimate Skill Points: Regenerates 4 skill points with her ultimate.
  • Critical Damage Boost: Provides a significant boost to crit damage.

Paired with Imbibitor Lunae, Sparkle shines even brighter (get it?). If you already have Imbibitor Lunae or are planning to pull for him, Sparkle is your best bet to maximize your team’s potential.

FeiXiao: The Mysterious Marksman

FeiXiao, rumored to be the newest Acheron, is a 5-star character following the path of the Hunt. While Acheron focuses on AoE damage during her ultimate, FeiXiao is speculated to excel in single-target damage. Say goodbye to Seele and Boothill mains — don’t worry, you will still do better than JingYuan mains!

However, there’s a catch. If FeiXiao’s ultimate can dish out a million damage on a single target, it might feel a bit overkill for anything less than a boss. Hopefully, her ultimate will have a mechanic that allows it to switch targets after eliminating one.

The Ultimate Question: Who Should You Pull?

Now comes the moment of truth: Sparkle or FeiXiao?

Option 1: Split Your Gems

Pulling both Sparkle and FeiXiao is a safe bet if you have the resources. Sparkle’s unique support abilities will make her a long-term asset, while FeiXiao could potentially revolutionize your single-target damage output.

Option 2: Go All-In for FeiXiao

If you’re leaning towards FeiXiao, here’s why you should consider going all-in:

  • Rumored Power: If FeiXiao lives up to the hype, her Lightcone could be just as broken as Acheron’s, making her a must-have for top-tier content like Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadows.
  • Guaranteed Damage: A single-target powerhouse ensures you have a reliable DPS for challenging content, potentially guaranteeing 12 stars in Apocalyptic Shadows and Memory of Chaos.

My Personal Choice: FeiXiao

Personally, I’d go for the second option. Here’s why:

  • Lightcone Synergy: If FeiXiao’s Lightcone accelerates her ultimate, similar to Acheron’s, she will become an invaluable asset for endgame content.
  • Content Focus: With the addition of pure fiction and apocalyptic shadows, a strong single-target damager like FeiXiao is essential for maximizing your performance in these modes.

On the flip side, if you already have strong supports like Ruan Mei and Robin, Sparkle might not bring as much to your team, even with Lunae. The Lunae-Sparkle team comp has seen a decline, with newer teams like Acheron’s and Superbreak Sam/Boothill outperforming it.

Personally, I don’t like to try my luck winning both 50/50 for Sparkle and FeiXiao (speaking from experience). If you’re wondering which you can pull better, it’s obviously the second option, where you only need to win one 50/50 on FeiXiao and one 75/25 on her Lightcone.

Conclusion

In summary, if you’re lacking a strong DPS and have a decent support roster, FeiXiao is your best bet. However, if you’re in dire need of a top-tier support and lack characters like Ruan Mei, Robin, or Bronya, Sparkle will be a game-changer for your account.

Remember, Trailblazer, it’s all about strategy. Power creeping a support character won’t hurt as much as power creeping a DPS. Choose wisely and may the RNG gods be ever in your Favor!

This is just my opinion—don’t take my words as gospel. Pull for the characters you like, and I hope you win every 50/50. Even if you lose your 50/50, I hope you don’t end up with Gepard or Bailu.
