Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XVI will be getting a PC release via Steam and Epic Games Store this September 17th, 2024. The news was announced on the official Final Fantasy YouTube page, where a video titled “DELIVERANCE” was published.
Final Fantasy XVI was first released in June 2023 for the PlayStation 5 as a PlayStation exclusive until December 31st, 2023.
The game follows the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title “First Shield of Rosaria” and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix. Before long, Clive will be caught up in a great tragedy and swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake.
The game has since released two paid DLCs: The Echoes of the Fallen DLC last December 2023, and The Rising Tide DLC this April 2024.
