The Philippine GameDev Expo is back for its second year this July 26 – 28, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. This time, it boasts of a bigger Indie Game Stars area with over 100 titles made by up-and-coming game developers in the South East Asian scene.
Here are some titles we’re excited to see and hear about at the expo!
1. Ahon by Kenko Ma
After being swept away by a disastrous flood, a young girl must make her way through uncharted territory to find her grandfather in this survival horror. Explore formidable landscapes, face creatures lurking in the shadows, and solve puzzles to uncover mysteries of the past.

2. Craggenrock by Ardeimon
In this cozy crafting shop management game, you play as Arlo, the new blacksmith in town! Create a name for yourself at the mining town of Pareho – forge weapons, experiment with different recipes, haggle and, most of all, profit.

3. Eat the Rich by Maccima Games
Test your friendships in this social party game for 6-10 players. Society has collapsed and all the billionaires are grouped together in a game show to compete for the most likes. Collect pennies through mini games, brawl your way out, create alliances – and break them! In the end, only the best of the best remains.

4. Fall Up by Unicellular Games
Stomp on your enemies and bounce all over the walls through this colorful platformer. Labi the robot simply wants to be free – navigate your way through this post-apocalyptic world to collect materials that can open the doors to freedom, and uncover the world’s history.

5. Iskrambol Days by Kendikorp
Iskrambol is an iconic street snack in the Philippines, and you can make your own in this cozy mobile game. Serve your customers cute customized sweets, get ingredients through minigames and even create your own recipes!

6. Lola’s Lutong Bahay by Millenium Flames Studio
In this cooking simulation game, you play as Dalisay, a budding chef who wants to follow in the footsteps of her grandma, Lola Felicia. With her guidance, you gather ingredients, learn to cook authentic Filipino recipes, and take on culinary challenges.

7. Missing Alice by Senshi.Labs
When your childhood friend suddenly disappears and everyone else has given up, you have no choice but to try and find her, yourself. In this point and click adventure game, look for clues at the academy and even through social media to get to the bottom of the case, and prevent the same thing from happening to other students.

8. Para Po
As the sole inheritor of his family’s Jeepney business, Totoy must learn how to navigate the streets. In this driving and management simulator, pick up and drop off passengers, collect fares, count the change, and of course, obey all traffic rules to maintain a stellar reputation and avoid fines.

9. Split by Jammers in Pajamas
In this puzzle game, you play as Maya, a manananggal, a Filipino mythical creature that can split half of its body. The problem is – Maya’s lower half tends to wander on its own. Find your way through mazes in a split-screen gameplay to try and reunite with your other halfway before sunrise!

10. Unfounded: Tales from the Baryo by GPhoenix Apps
In this 3D action adventure, you play as a hero (and his dog!) from Baryo Digdig, a village surrounded by Filipino myths and legends, and affected by a war that stems from the underworld. Uncover the secrets of the village and fight off dangerous creatures with different combat styles and weaponry.
