Top-Down Doggy Shooter ‘Metal Dogs’ Gets ‘Labrador Retriever’ DLC

A brand new four-legged pal will be joining the Metal Dogs roster in the “METAL DOGS EX DOG 01: Labrador Retriever” DLC available now! Metal Dogs is the first spin-off of the critically acclaimed desert-punk JRPG series, Metal Max.

The game is set in post-apocalyptic Japan after most of humanity was wiped out by the Great Destruction. Our main dog, Pochi, has just been revived by the mysterious scientist, Dr Minch. Pochi must now em-BARK on an extremely dangerous mission, overcoming monsters and dungeons in search of his master who left him behind.

All of the dogs are voiced by famous voice actor Hiro Shimano, known for his roles in anime such as Connie in Attack on Titan, Zenitsu in Demon Slayer, Dabi in My Hero Academia and Rindo Haitani in Tokyo Revengers.

The original “man’s best friend” will be joining the roster with the Labrador Retriever DLC. All players who purchase the DLC will be able to control our new friend “Zoe”. Named after the Greek word for “Life”, Zoe has an HP buff compared to the other breeds. A special weapon called “Lovely Burst” will also be added to the update and can also only be equipped by Zoe.

A brand new Hardcore Mode has also been added to the game. Only for the most courageous of canines, players must clear the game without taking a single hit! Other restrictions include bullet limitations and losing your equipment each time you die. If normal mode doesn’t satiate you, give Hardcore Mode a try.

Get Metal Dogs and the new DLC on Steam, and top up your Steam Wallet on Codashop to earn bonus rewards.
